Located in the heart of the Lanaudière region, Coupée Mountain is distinguished by a lush landscape. With a distance of 22 km, the trails run along a forest and fields. In the fall, you can admire the splendor of the maple trees. With their multicolored hue, these shrubs offer a breathtaking scenery.



During your hike, treat yourself to a picnic by the Assomption River. Crossing the entire Lanaudière region, this waterway is great for swimming. Its banks are also ideal for taking a few minutes of respite before continuing your adventure in the middle of nature.



A wide variety of trails



The Cut Mountain is accessible to all hikers, regardless of their level. You will find three types of trails :



- The Petite Roche trail stands out with a paved route. Even people with disabilities can access it in wheelchairs ;



- As for the trail that leads to the inn, it is a must if you want to enjoy a breathtaking view of the surroundings ;



- The Couple Mountain Trail on the other hand is characterized by an uphill route. With its low elevation gain, it is accessible to all.



Be aware that access to the hiking trails is completely free. In addition, you can walk with your dog, provided that the animal is on a leash.

Starting Point

The Cut Mountain Valley Loop

With a distance of 5.1 km, the Cut Mountain Valley Loop is an ultra-easy route. With a loop-shaped route, it features a 180 m elevation gain. During your hike, you can discover the richness of wildlife.

The Summit of the Cut Mountain

If you want to traverse a forested route, the Cut Mountain Summit is the right place to start. Round trip, this trail is 3.1 km long. This distance is ideal for novice hikers and young children. At the top of Coupe Mountain, young and old alike will be dazzled by the panoramic view.

The majority of hiking trails cover a distance between 1 and 10 km. Many of the trails lead to the top of the cut mountain. You'll notice on the way up that a boulder has broken off and is resting near the river, hence the word "cut" to describe the area.
