Discover the Montérégie
Mont Rougemont is part of the Montérégie region in southwestern Quebec. This region is located halfway between the two cities of Ottawa and Quebec City, and stretches from the St. Lawrence River to the border with the United States Ḕtats.
From a tourism point of view, the Montérégie is very varied, alternating between rural and urban landscapes. It is not by chance that tourists in this region have a wide range of things to do.
In the Montérégie, one can dedicate oneself to different activities, first of all to agrotourism. With its production of apples, cider and sugar shacks, the region is one of the favorite destinations for gourmet tourists from all over the world, who are eager to try the flavors of the territory.
Not to mention sports: in Montérégie you can enjoy the outdoors all year round, hiking, biking, boating, cross-country skiing... Or again: here nature lovers can discover incredible landscapes by visiting the two national parks of the region and the Parc Safari de Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle.
The Montérégie region is also active from a cultural point of view: numerous historical sites, museums and galleries offer the possibility to travel back in time, discovering archaeological remains from our past or contemporary artworks.
In conclusion, we cannot fail to mention the shows that take place in the different theaters of the region. The first of them is the Juliette-Lassonde Arts Centre in Saint-Hyacinte, which stages the most beautiful theatrical productions of dance, music, circus and cabaret every year.
