"Beautiful gorge with impressive rock formations, but the trail can be quite challenging in summer heat. The 500-meter elevation gain feels more intense when temperatures soar. The turquoise pools are tempting but swimming isn't always permitted. Access fees and parking costs add up, which might disappoint budget travelers. Despite these drawbacks, the natural beauty and well-maintained paths make it a worthwhile adventure for experienced hikers."
"Probably the least visited Gorges around Corté, making it perfect for those seeking solitude. The only way to get there is by footpaths, with the 600m elevation gain over 12km providing a good workout that takes around 4.5 hours. One path leads to the scenic Rossolinu footbridge via a pleasant south-facing route with excellent sun exposure. The bravest can swim in the crystal-clear natural basins, though water temperatures hover around 10-12°C even in mid-September. The moderate difficulty level makes it accessible to most hikers."
"Go there early (9h max) and out of season to fully appreciate this hidden gem - it's incredibly beautiful! The morning light illuminates the gorge walls magnificently, and visiting outside peak times means you'll have the natural pools and dramatic rock formations mostly to yourself. The challenging terrain with 600m elevation gain over 12km makes early starts essential to avoid afternoon heat. Budget at least 4.5 hours for the complete circuit to truly enjoy this magnificent Haute-Corse location."
"Very enjoyable hike with substantial elevation gain that tests your endurance over the 12km distance. Rather difficult all the same with the 600m climb taking around 4.5 hours, but the reward at the end is worth the effort. A magnificent swimming spot with pristine natural pools awaits you. Be careful, the place gets rather busy in summer with about fifty people on the day of my walk. Plan accordingly for peak season visits to this stunning Haute-Corse gorge."
"Juste MAGNIFIQUE !!! On en prend plein les yeux tellement c'est beau 🤩🤩 Ce sentier de Corse-du-Sud offre des paysages d'une beauté saisissante. Chaque tournant révèle de nouveaux panoramas époustouflants. Bien que l'accès soit payant, cette randonnée reste un incontournable pour découvrir la splendeur naturelle de la région. Une expérience visuelle extraordinaire !"
"Nice and pleasant trail with great views and stunning rock formations typical of Corsican geology. The path winds through beautiful landscape with the 120m elevation providing varied perspectives of the surrounding wilderness. However, the end of the path is unfortunately closed for safety reasons, so you can only see the waterfall from a distance rather than getting close to Cascade de Piscia di Ghjaddu. Still enjoyable for the hiking experience and scenery, though somewhat disappointing not to reach the falls directly."
"Simply MAGNIFICENT! The Sentier Des Bruzzi is absolutely stunning - you'll be amazed by the incredible beauty at every turn. The panoramic views and natural landscapes are truly spectacular. This Corsican trail offers some of the most breathtaking scenery you'll ever experience. Highly recommended for nature lovers!"
"Challenging but rewarding hike through one of Corsica's most spectacular gorges. The significant elevation gain of 500m makes this suitable for fit hikers only. The granite formations and turquoise pools create a magical atmosphere. Note that dogs aren't allowed and there are access fees, but the pristine natural environment justifies the restrictions."
"Nice waterfall, around 1 hour to go one way from the street through scenic Corsican terrain. The 120m elevation gain provides a moderate workout while offering increasingly beautiful views as you ascend. The cascade itself is truly spectacular and definitely worth the effort. Plan for at least 2-3 hours total for the round trip, and bring water and snacks. The natural beauty of Piscia di Ghjaddu makes this a memorable hiking experience in Corse-du-Sud."
"The Gorges de Spelunca offers a stunning hiking experience through dramatic limestone cliffs and crystal-clear pools. With 500m of elevation gain over 6km, the trail provides challenging terrain that rewards hikers with breathtaking views of the Corsican landscape. The ancient Genoese bridges add historical charm to this natural wonder. Plan for 2.5 hours and expect entry fees, but the moderate difficulty makes it accessible to most fit hikers."
"Beautiful landscape! Very fun drive up into the gorge in a single track road with passing places. Lots of free parking near the top. The final footpath to the lake is quite rough (no good for a pram😋) but great if wearing walking boots. Well worth a visit. The access road adds adventure to the journey, though proper footwear is essential for the rugged terrain leading to the lake."
"Nice walk to do on the Sentier Des Bruzzi. Take plenty of water in the middle of summer because you have to feel the heat as the path is quite exposed with little shade. The trail can be demanding during hot weather, but the scenic views make it worth the effort. Plan accordingly for sun protection."
"Nice walk to do. Take water in the middle of summer because you have to feel the heat because the path is exposed.
"Absolutely magnificent gorge system that showcases Corsica's raw beauty. The 500-meter elevation change takes you through diverse ecosystems, from Mediterranean scrubland to cool canyon floors. Perfect for experienced hikers seeking adventure, though the paid access and parking fees are worth every euro for this unforgettable experience."
"Beautiful landscapes, long walks but worth the wait. Nice waterfalls and cascades. The diverse terrain of Corsica Natural Regional Park offers stunning natural beauty throughout the hiking routes. While some trails can be lengthy and challenging, the reward of discovering pristine waterfalls and dramatic cascades makes every step worthwhile. A true gem for nature enthusiasts seeking authentic Corsican wilderness. With 1500 km of trails across Corse-du-Sud, the variety ensures something spectacular for every hiking enthusiast."
"Absolutely magnificent gorge system that showcases Corsica's raw beauty. The 500-meter elevation change over 6km takes you through diverse ecosystems, from Mediterranean scrubland to cool canyon floors. Perfect for experienced hikers seeking adventure on this moderate-rated trail that typically takes 2.5 hours to complete. Though the paid access and parking fees are worth every euro for this unforgettable experience in Corse-du-Sud."
"Magnifique parcours dans ces gorges mythiques de Corse ! Le dénivelé conséquent de 500m demande une bonne condition physique, mais les points de vue sur les formations géologiques sont à couper le souffle. Attention, les chiens ne sont pas autorisés sur ce sentier. Je recommande de partir tôt le matin pour éviter la chaleur et profiter pleinement de cette merveille naturelle."
"Nice location and view, the trail to get there is pleasant and easy but quite long! The route takes about an hour each way through beautiful Corsican landscape. However, there's a significant lack of signs to point out the official parking lot, which can be frustrating. If you miss the parking area, don't expect any clear signage on other trails that would confirm you're going the right way. Better navigation markers would greatly improve the hiking experience to this beautiful cascade."
"Sentier très agréable avec de superbes panoramas et des formations rocheuses impressionnantes typiques de la Corse. Le dénivelé de 120m reste raisonnable. Malheureusement, la fin du sentier est actuellement fermée pour des raisons de sécurité, ce qui oblige à observer la cascade uniquement de loin. Dommage car on devine que le spectacle doit être saisissant de près."
