The Pont du Gard is a Roman bridge-aqueduct located in Occitania, on the Gardon River. It is the highest bridge-aqueduct in the world. Built in the 1st century AD, it was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985.

The Pont du Gard consists of three stone arches. The largest is 49.50 meters long and 18.90 meters wide. It is also the tallest, with a height of 49.20 meters above the Gardon riverbed. The other two arches are 38.40 meters long and 15.30 meters wide.

The Pont du Gard is a masterpiece of Roman architecture. Its construction required the mastery of the most advanced techniques of the time.
