Camp Mercier, located near Lac-Jacques-Cartier in the Laurentian Region Wildlife Reserve, is a renowned cross-country ski center that will delight skiers, snowshoers and winter activity enthusiasts.

The Camp includes a series of circuits including a 70km linear network of cross-country ski trails. The trails, all patrolled, will suit all profiles and levels, from easy to difficult.

Freshly renovated for the 2021-2022 season, a brand new building offers visitors a large waxing room, a food court, a store renting equipment and a multipurpose room.

Starting Point

The starting point for all trails is in front of Lac-à-Noël.

Why visit this place

The park offers a total of 16 trails for cross-country skiing as well as snowshoeing: 7 of easy level, 9 of difficult level. The ski network has a linear length of 70km: 20km for skate skiing and 50km for classic skiing. The snowshoeing trails are 33 km long. The hikes can be short or long depending on the trails.

Things not to be missed

Visitors can stay in one of the 20 or so cabins in the park, located along the ski trails. They are all equipped with a bathroom, a refrigerator, a slow-burning stove and a microwave. They can accommodate between 2 and 6 people.

However, there are other accommodations located not far from the camp.

The park offers a dining area with a self-service cafeteria as well as a sandwich shop. Dining tables as well as microwaves are also available in a multipurpose room.

La Cuisine Boulet

Restaurant existing for more than 40 years, its reputation is not to be made anymore! It offers delicious poutines, club sandwiches and delicious fries: a great alternative to fast food and other seasonal snacks. This restaurant is located 14.5km from the reserve.
