One of France's most beautiful waterfalls hidden in the heart of the Jura mountains. The two-tier cascade totaling 28 meters creates a thunderous display of nature's power. Multiple observation platforms allow you to appreciate different perspectives of this geological masterpiece. Best visited during spring or early summer when the Lemme River is at its most dramatic.

Wonderful family hike despite the physical demands of the return climb. The stone steps are well-constructed but definitely get your heart pumping on the way back up! Spring is the ideal time to visit when snowmelt increases the water flow dramatically. The gorge setting provides excellent protection from wind, making it enjoyable even on cooler days.

Impressive double waterfall that's easily accessible from the parking area. The upper viewpoint is just 50 meters from the car, while the lower platform requires a 400-meter walk down steep stairs. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs due to the challenging terrain. The crystal-clear water and rock pools at the bottom are perfect for a refreshing dip during warmer months.

Absolutely magical winter visit when the waterfall was partially frozen! The contrast between the flowing water and ice formations created an incredible spectacle. The metal staircase can be slippery in winter conditions, so proper footwear is essential. Despite the cold, this is definitely one of the most grandiose sites in the Jura region.

Beautiful natural setting but be prepared for crowds during peak season. The upper belvedere offers great views without the strenuous descent. However, the café at the parking area was overpriced with poor service - €4.90 for a tiny pancake! Would recommend bringing your own picnic instead. The waterfall itself is magnificent, especially after recent rainfall.
