HEYYYY! You who considers nature as an extension of yourself, and who claims to be super conscientious about the environment, do you still get outraged when you find a can in your playground? Well stop pouting and screaming your indignation to the heavens, and do something to change it!
Two-legged Pigs
There will always be immature people, and in every domain. Respecting nature and considering it a sacred temple isn't everyone's prerogative. It would be ideal, but when we get there, well I imagine you'll be outraged about something else. And people who denounce, and who forbid, there are enough of them; what does it change in the end?
Children to Govern Us
The government? The laws that prevail in the world we live in make nature a monetizable resource, therefore exploitable with no other concern than the profit of whoever invests. Those who govern us depend on this monetary aspect to be elected and continue buying themselves toys. If in absolute terms they have the means to make things happen, in reality, they have no interest in doing so. Expecting our elected officials to take the lead is like expecting your 4-year-old's room to always be spotless. So, I turn the question back to you: what more can you do to clean up your planet, here and now.
Unity Makes the Cleanup
You can start by taking that can you find to recycling, and staying open. You know, there are other freaks like you who'd be ready to come help you. In other places where people got tired of screaming into the void, it's happened before, big cleanup and awareness campaigns that had real impact. Wait for a catastrophe to start the movement? That's like waiting for your child to make a mess before showing them how to hold their glass. No, there's something to do today to change things, and with the energy you put into screaming into the void, I'm sure you'd like for once that someone listens to you.
