Decent trail for a moderate workout in Charente. The combination of heathland and quarry landscapes is quite unique, though the 143m elevation gain can be challenging in spots. At 3.5km, it's a perfect length for an afternoon hike taking around 1h30. Some sections can be rocky due to the quarry terrain, so proper hiking boots are recommended for this moderate-difficulty trail.

Great moderate hike through the unique landscape of Guizengeard's heathlands and quarries. The 3.5km trail offers interesting geological features with a decent 143m elevation gain that provides nice views. Takes about 1.5 hours to complete at a comfortable pace. The varied terrain between moorlands and old quarry sites makes for an engaging walk with plenty to discover along the way.
