Let's Go Play Outside (operated by Unik Experience) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain words, what personal information we collect when you request a free guide or subscribe to the newsletter, what it is used for, who has access to it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. It complements the site's terms of use.
When you fill in a capture form (free guide, newsletter), we record:
We do not ask for a password, a phone number or a postal address on these forms.
We never sell or rent your information. We only share it with the providers named below, solely to deliver these services.
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also use the unsubscribe page by entering your email address, no password needed. The request is processed immediately.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw a consent. Write to info@letsgoplayoutside.com or use the contact form, stating the email address concerned. We reply within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
You can ask us to delete your account and the information linked to it in two ways:
If your account was created with Facebook, also remove the app in Facebook: Settings and privacy, Settings, then "Apps and websites", and remove Let's Go Play Outside. This ends the app's access to your Facebook profile; deleting your account with us is done through one of the two routes above.
The site uses audience measurement and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar and the Meta pixel) that set cookies to understand how pages are used. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings.
The site also sets a functional cookie named lgpo_lieu. It holds two things: the regions of the last twelve trail pages you viewed, and the approximate region derived from your IP address. Its only purpose is to suggest, on the home page, trails near you or in the regions you look at often. It contains no name, no email address and no IP address; it is never shared; and you can delete it in your browser settings — the home page will then show the most viewed trails, without personalisation.
Our edge delivery provider (Cloudflare) passes us an estimate of your country, province and city based on your IP address. We do not store that estimate: it is used only, at display time, to choose which trails to show you.
If you create an account or write to us, the information you enter (name, email, message, published content) is used only to run your account, publish what you choose to publish and reply to you.
If you sign in with Facebook, we receive your first name, last name and email address from Facebook, and nothing else. We never post anything to your Facebook account.
