Trail description

Practical Tips

  • Permits: Daisy Mountain is located on State Trust Land. You must apply for a permit from the State Land Department before hiking. The only access point is located at N Livingstone and Navigation Way in the Parkside neighborhood.
  • Parking: There is no street parking available at the trailhead. Plan your parking arrangements accordingly before your visit.
  • Water: Bring more than you think you need. There is no water available on the trail, and the desert heat can catch people off guard, even on shorter hikes.
  • Sun protection: The trail is largely exposed. Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are essentials, not optional extras.
  • Timing: Early morning is the best window, particularly from late spring through early fall. Midday heat in Arizona is no joke, and this trail offers very little shade.
  • Footwear: Trail runners or hiking boots with solid grip will serve you much better than casual sneakers on the rocky surface.
