As an avid photographer, I found Nellie Lake to be a hidden gem! The early morning light creates stunning reflections on the water, perfect for capturing nature shots. The peaceful ambiance makes it an ideal place for solitude and inspiration. I visited during the fall, and the foliage added a beautiful layer of color to the landscape. Be ready for a good workout with the ups and downs, but it’s absolutely worth it!

I took a solo trip to Nellie Lake in late summer and was impressed by the variety of landscapes along the trail. The mix of shady tree cover and exposed areas made for a pleasant hike despite the warm temperatures. I spent some time by the water's edge, where I enjoyed the serene atmosphere. The trail requires a good amount of energy, but it is ideal for those looking for a good workout surrounded by nature. I didn't encounter many people, which was a plus for me!

Nellie Lake offers a fantastic hiking experience, especially in the late spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom. The trail is well-maintained and the elevation gain is manageable for families. We took our kids, and they enjoyed spotting various bird species along the way. The picnic area near the lake is a perfect spot to take a break before heading back. Just make sure to bring plenty of water, as there are limited services available.

Hiking Nellie Lake was an awesome experience! I appreciate that the trail is away from the busy roads, which made our hike feel remote. We spotted a few deer during our trek, which added to the thrill. The steep parts were a bit tough, but the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the viewpoints made it worth it. Just remember, dogs are not allowed, which is something I wish I had checked beforehand. Overall a solid trail for outdoor lovers!

I hiked Nellie Lake with my partner in early April, and it was a bit more challenging than we expected due to some muddy sections from melting snow. While the scenery was beautiful, I wish we had checked the weather beforehand as it started drizzling halfway through our hike. There were not many people on the trail, which was nice for a quieter experience, but be prepared for some slippery spots regarding the trail conditions. I would recommend this for more experienced hikers.
