The Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park is located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It consists of volcanic territories and mountainous landscapes. Its main attractions are volcanoes, lakes and forests.
The park is composed of three areas: the Massif Central, the Monts Dore and the Combrailles. These areas are distinguished by their relief and climate. The Massif Central consists of plateaus and mountains. The Monts Dore are characterized by their peaks and valleys. The Combrailles are recognizable by their gorges and perched villages.
The park is crossed by many rivers and has two lakes: lake Pavin and lake Chambon. These lakes are surrounded by forests that are home to a rich fauna and flora. The park is also rich in volcanoes. The most famous are the Puy de Dôme, the Puy Mary and the Plomb du Cantal. These volcanoes offer varied landscapes, ranging from craters to steep slopes.

The Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park is located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and was created in 1970. It covers more than 1,000 km² and has about 60 volcanoes. It is one of the largest natural parks in France.
