Wonderful family-friendly destination with crystal-clear turquoise waters! The Himalayan-style suspension bridge spanning 80 meters is truly spectacular and kids absolutely love it. The walk around the lake is accessible to everyone with no significant elevation changes. Perfect spot for picnicking with several tables available. Parking fills up quickly during peak season, so arrive early for the best experience.

Absolutely breathtaking location at 1,557m altitude! The trail offers stunning views of mountain pastures and the dam's impressive architecture. Wildlife spotting opportunities are excellent - we encountered marmots and ibex along the way. The contrast between forest paths and open alpine meadows makes this hike particularly rewarding. Highly recommend visiting during early morning hours to avoid crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful setting but challenging parking situation during summer months. The small parking area gets completely full, forcing visitors to search for spaces further away. Despite this inconvenience, the lake itself is magnificent with its wild surroundings. The suspension bridge provides thrilling views over the Poncellamont gorge. Consider using the shuttle service from Beaufort to avoid parking hassles entirely.

Excellent starting point for various mountain adventures! The loop trail around the lake takes about 2 hours and offers consistently beautiful scenery. Trail conditions can be muddy in certain sections, especially after rain, so proper hiking boots are essential. The dam's 70-meter depth and 50-hectare surface create an impressive alpine reservoir. Great for photography enthusiasts with multiple scenic viewpoints throughout the walk.

Perfect combination of accessibility and natural beauty! The trail is suitable for strollers and wheelchair users with assistance on the main path. Children will be fascinated by the 'Guérinette la gouttelette' interactive game available around the lake. Swimming is prohibited, but paddle rentals are available through authorized operators. The surrounding alpine pastures with grazing cattle add authentic mountain charm to this remarkable destination.
