Hiking in the Lac des Fées: trails, map and practical info

A beautiful hiking trail that gives you an amazing view of the mountainous area. The weather is in constant motion in the upper end of the hike, and it feels very much alive. The hike to the Fairy Lake was fantastic and this cannot be overstated. The morning was calm, but the popularity shows as you meet more people later in the day. I have visited higher peaks in the French Alps before, but Lac Des Fees is without a doubt one of my favorites. We went right back down to bring up our car just to stay another night by the lake.
