The hike back down is just as rewarding as the hike up, and takes about 2 hours.

The Mount Finlayson trails are located in Goldstream Provincial Park, which is about a 30 minute drive from Victoria. From Victoria, take the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) west to the exit for Mill Bay/Malahat Drive. Follow Malahat Drive for about 25 minutes until you reach the park entrance on your left.
