The best view is from the bridge, dont expect to get any closer or see anything more by doing the walk. Literally the most unimpressive gorge I have ever seen... skip it and head for your next point of interest!! For a 2h30 hike with 700m elevation gain, the payoff is disappointing. The paid access and parking fees make it even less worthwhile when there are more spectacular gorges nearby in Haute-Savoie.

I liked it however the trail isn't well marked. Its a great place for rock climbing but if you're coming just to walk along the river I'd skip it. We were in a rainy day and walking in the muddy wood was great but hard for the kids. The 700m elevation gain over 3.2km makes it challenging for families, especially in wet conditions. Note that dogs aren't allowed, so plan accordingly.

An easy walk along the river from Samoens, fun watching the rafters jump in the water off the rocks. The 3.2km trail offers beautiful river views and despite the 700m elevation gain, the path is manageable. Perfect spot for observing water sports enthusiasts during summer months. The gorge provides a refreshing escape with clear mountain water and interesting rock formations along the way.
