Be extra careful if conditions are wet because the already stony paths can become very slippery with the 360m elevation gain. The alpine setting is magnificent, but proper hiking gear and caution in wet weather are essential for safety on this beautiful but challenging trail.

Beautiful hike with a gorgeous lake as the reward. The trail is very stony throughout and climbs consistently over the 360m elevation gain, making it quite demanding and not suitable for young children. Despite the rocky terrain, the alpine scenery of Haute-Savoie is spectacular. Come prepared with good hiking boots as the path can be tough on the feet, but experienced hikers will love this challenging route.

Absolutely amazing hike to Lac De Peyre! The trail took us 1hr 40min to reach the pristine alpine lake, covering the 360m elevation gain at a steady pace. Once there, we encountered 3 very friendly shepherd dogs watching over their flock, which added such an authentic touch to this mountain experience. It's definitely a moderate hike with some challenging rocky sections, but the stunning lake views make every step worthwhile.
