Definitely worth a visit! Beautiful nature trail showcasing incredible karst geology, conveniently located about 20 minutes from Besançon city center in the Doubs region. The moderate 150m elevation gain through limestone formations makes for an educational and scenic outdoor experience. Perfect escape from urban life to explore these fascinating geological wonders.

A pleasant family walk through the limestone landscape even though I still haven't really understood the meaning of the word karstic. The trail is manageable for families and the educational signs help explain the geological processes. The 150m elevation change provides some gentle exercise while discovering these unique rock formations in the Doubs region.

I recommend! Nice walk through the Doubs region to look at all these sinkholes and lapiaz formations created by limestone erosion over millennia. The modest 150m elevation gain makes it accessible while still offering impressive geological features. +1 for the modest chasm as well as the unique rock formations that make this karst landscape so special.

This place is magical 😉🤫 In 1.5 km of trail you will discover the work of nature. Water and wind erode the rock to form lapiaz, sinkholes, caves, chasms, wells and many other beautiful things: Dolmens, hanging stones, cavities. Everything is well explained and accompanied by botany, poetry and literature. Ideal for children. A pretty cave can be visited on the course if you find the right times. Very good work by volunteers and communities who have made this place a karst sanctuary. You will love it.

Ideal for spending a pleasant moment in nature surrounded by the fascinating karst formations of the Grand Bois. The 1.5km trail with 150m elevation gain offers a very instructive visit showcasing geological wonders. The path is very well laid out with educational panels, though you'll want to keep children close as some areas require careful navigation around the natural limestone features.
