Absolutely loved this 2.5-hour hike in Corrèze! The moderate difficulty rating is spot-on - challenging enough to feel accomplished but accessible for regular hikers. Lac de Pontcharal is a hidden gem with crystal clear waters surrounded by beautiful French countryside. The 4.8km distance flies by with such scenic views. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the region!

Decent hike but be aware of the costs - both parking and trail access require fees which wasn't clearly indicated beforehand. The 300m elevation gain is manageable for most fitness levels. Lake views are rewarding but the trail can get muddy after rain. Also, dogs aren't allowed which was disappointing for us. Plan accordingly!

Beautiful moderate hike to Lac de Pontcharal! The 4.8km trail with 300m elevation gain took us about 2.5 hours as estimated. The lake at the end is absolutely stunning and worth every step. Trail is well-marked through the Corrèze countryside. Note that parking isn't free, so bring some change. Perfect for a half-day adventure!
