Amazing. A gentle mix between Zion national park, Scotland yet with sun and a touch of Yosemite. The Queyras perfectly blends dramatic red rock formations reminiscent of Utah's canyons with the rugged highland beauty of Scotland, all bathed in Mediterranean sunshine. The granite spires and deep valleys create a unique alpine environment that feels both familiar and wonderfully exotic to international visitors.

A 6-day hike around the Queyras is just awe-inspiring as physically demanding. You have to earn the beautiful sites, but they are worth it. The landscape changes often and will continuously leave you wanting to discover more. The paths are well labeled and the places to sleep for the night (in tent or not if necessary) are quite frequent. You aren't allowed to camp within 1-hour walk of towns, villages etc. and I recommend bringing along water filters. Moderately crowded makes for a great escape in the wild during the summer.

Beautiful mountain. We went on a 2 day hike and saw the most amazing stuff. The dramatic peaks and glacial valleys of the Queyras provide breathtaking photo opportunities at every turn. Wildlife sightings are common, including marmots, ibex, and golden eagles. The changing light throughout the day transforms the landscape, making each moment feel like discovering a new wilderness paradise.

Wonderful nature. Quiet place. Many possibilities for sportive activity (hiking, cycling, via ferrata). The park's diverse terrain caters to all skill levels, from gentle valley walks to challenging high-altitude routes. The well-maintained trail network connects charming alpine villages, and the via ferrata sections add an exciting dimension for adventure seekers looking for something beyond traditional hiking.

Would rate it 6 stars if possible... But I could also rate 1 star to avoid too many people coming here and keep this amazing place so quiet. The Queyras Regional Natural Park offers an incredible escape from crowded tourist destinations. The pristine alpine landscapes, crystal-clear mountain streams, and peaceful trails make this one of France's best-kept secrets for outdoor enthusiasts.
